The latest pack is now in stock! SA-036 Ikko-Ikki with Katana is a nifty new set to round out the peasant portion of your lists!
They can be used for Sohei armies as well. All pre-orders will ship this weekend. Thanks for your continued support!
The Ikko-Ikki set with yari has had a small set back. One of the poses has proven too difficult to cast successfully and will
require modification. It is unlikely this set will be available before January 2008. The Ashigaru with katana set is well under
way and should be released early in the New Year!

Hello, I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year's Eve. We have a large reorder coming in to fill up our out of stock
items. I expect it in this week. Some of the decals are also out of stock and the supplier is currently moving from the Northern
to the Southern hemisphere! I will check on availability.
We are likely to change the basic backbanner for all packs to be the smaller of our two standard backbanners this year. The
large backbanner (sashimono) is harder to cast and so we have a higher rejection rate. I will continue to carry it as an extra
pack however. The changeover date has not yet been determined.
Also expected with the reorder will be the new Ikko-Ikki with yari. Again this pack will have six sculpts and have a random
assortment of yari and pole-arms. The price will remain very attractive at $18.00CAD.
Also I'd like visitors to know that on occasion some sender's emails do not make it to our inbox. If you suspect your email is
not being read please try emailing us directly through your favourite application rather than our contact sheet.

Well the reorder arrived this week and so a new pack has been added to the catalogue! This pack SA-037 is made up of 6 Ikko
Ikki with random assortment of polearms and spears. All come unpainted.
I have continued to add books to the resource section of the website. It looks like I will be adding a second page of useful
book references.
Six new figures have been sent to the mouldmakers. This set will be made up of 6 Ashigaru wielding katana. Pics can be found
at the WIP section. They are a couple months away from being available for sale.

Been busy putting more customer supplied pics in the gallery section. Emmanuel Valerio has kindly allowed us to host some of
his fantastically well researched artwork on Japanese heraldry. The Ashigaru masters might be back sooner than I thought
(fingers crossed). We will most likely attend the Trumpeter Salute in March 2008.

Some good and bad news! The Fighting Ashigaru (SA-027) set is in
but one of the poses has not come out properly. The scabbard is
severely bent. It can be bent back into place but this often
results in it snapping off or being very weak. Therefore, I have
asked the caster to redo that batch. All the other pieces are
fine. It could be a few weeks before I have the replacement part.
More good news! The sculptor is working on Standing Ashigaru with
Arquebus (Teppo) as we write. I have asked him to work quickly
because many of you need these pieces! It will likely be about 2
months before they are commercially available. Work In Process
photos will be posted when available.
Even more good news! If the sculptor has time, he will sculpt two
more cavalry pieces. These Samurai will have katana instead of
spears.
We would love to hear from you and to see even more photos. So send
them in. If you are looking for inspiration just check out what
customers have been doing with our figs in the gallery sections of
the website.

New pack of Fighting Ashigaru is up! Two new books have been added to the front page. These are published by Osprey and
written by S. Turnbull. I have not read them so I cannot make any recommendations but I generally find these items to be of
use for painting and modelling.
On the development front, we have 6 new Ashigaru with teppo in the works. I will be calling the sculptor this weekend to see if
I can get some WIP photos posted. There may two mounted Samurai ready too, but we'll have to see.
If you haven't been to the site in awhile I recommend you take a look at page two of the gallery. Some very talented painters
have been sharing their photos with us lately. Why don't you send one of yours?

Well we're heading off on vacation and that means July 24th will be the last day for shipping until August 5th. You can still
order through our cart but you won't be invoiced for shipping until we return and we put your orders together.
In the meantime we have sent 5 new greens to the mouldmaker. Three of them will form the basis of standing Ashigaru with
arquebus. The remainder two are new mounted Samurai! You can see pics in the WIP gallery sections of either the newsletter
or our website. We are hoping these packs will be available for sale in September.
If you have photos of painted figs from the Kingsford range and you are not too shy please email them to us and we will add

Been awhile since we sent out word but now we have some news! The
masters of the latest WIP have arrived. These include two new mounted Samurai. These figures should be available for sale in
October if not sooner. Also expected to be released in October is the twin sashimono.
Another new pack expected for release prior to Christmas is the standing Ashigaru with teppo pack. This six man pack will sport
6 figures, back banners, scabbards and teppo.
Some upcoming changes. We have, along with everyone else seen our
production costs rise over the last year. We will therefore be increasing the prices of our three man foot packs. The packs in
question are the musician packs, bannermen packs and Daimyo #2 packs.
The "Hatamoto Deal" will become a three man pack called the Daimyo #1 pack along with a new price. These changes are
expected in October.

criticisms.

While we are waiting for the new releases to arrive I want you to know that we are planning changes to the website.
We are in the process of upgrading to a proper e-commerce package. You may notice changes here and there in the website.
We are doing this because our product range is getting too large to manage manually. Also, I want to improve and streamline
the checkout process. Finally, there are expanded marketing opportunities with a proper e-commerce package. All this is meant
to improve on our service to you! But, in the meantime everything is as it was. Please drop us a line if need to know more!

Lastly, and this is important, the large sashimono are being phased out of the regular packs. There are a few reasons for this
but mainly it is quite difficult to maintain two core sashimono for our product range and second they are harder to cast without
mistakes compared to the small sashimono. So effective immediately, small sashimono will be in the standard pack content.
Remaining stock with the larger sashimono will continue to be sold until they run out. I will add the large sashimono as an
accessory pack once my inventories are built up.

with some tweaks to fit the period. This is scheduled for Saturday

Just added to the WIP Gallery are some pics of our very first unarmoured
samurai! We have in progress a not-Zatoichi, not-Yojimbo and a not-Lone
Wolf and carriage. Finishing touches are being done and then they will be
sent to the casters. A release date has not been determined.
